Public Sector and Digital Education
Visit government Senegal is also implementing the Digital Technology Park (PTN) project to attract multinationals to Diamniadio, becoming a technology hub. The PTN focuses on ICT training in partnership with local universities and telecoms operators, aiming to create 35,000 direct jobs by 2025.
Huawei, in partnership with the Senegalese government and universities, has been supporting students since 2016 with programs such as the Huawei ICT Academy and the Huawei ICT Competition. These initiatives have already benefited thousands of students, helping to strengthen local ICT talent.
Towards a Promising Digital Future
For the year 2022, Huawei had launched the "Digitalent" project in Senegal, combining these educational initiatives. Senegal is fully committed to the digital economy, thanks to a strong partnership between the public and private sectors. The country is modernizing with a particular focus on digital, aiming for strong, sustainable and inclusive growth. The Diamniadio technology park, to be launched in 2022, promises to position Senegal as the digital heart of West Africa.
